Peter Thiel-backed Bitmine's Ethereum Holdings Surpass 150 Billion Yen

Intensifying Competition with Sharplink

Bitmine Immersion Technologies (BMNR), listed on the NYSE American, announced on July 17 that its Ethereum (ETH) holdings reached 300,657 ETH. The valuation exceeds 152 billion yen (1 billion dollars), marking the largest holding of the second-largest cryptocurrency by market cap among listed companies. Bitmine began accumulating Ethereum in late June and had raised $250 million through a private investment in public equity (PIPE) sale. Just three days prior, the company held approximately $500 million worth of ETH, but this latest announcement reveals that the value of its Ethereum holdings has now exceeded the PIPE fundraising amount by over 300%.
