Coinbase Increases Bitcoin Holdings by ¥47 Billion, Plans New Product Rollouts Including Prediction Markets

In its Q3 earnings report released on October 30, cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase revealed its Bitcoin holding strategy and business expansion plans. Throughout the quarter, the company increased its Bitcoin holdings by $299 million (2,772 BTC) through weekly purchases, now holding a total of 14,548 BTC. Additionally, it increased its Ethereum holdings by 11,933 ETH. As of September 30, the market value of the cryptocurrency assets held for investment purposes reached $2.6 billion (¥400 billion), with $1.6 billion in Bitcoin. Including $1 billion in cryptocurrency assets held as collateral, the total available resources amounted to $15.5 billion.
