Indicative of Exhaustion, Not Overheating

On the 12th, leading cryptocurrency market maker Wintermute released its latest analysis report on the correlation between Bitcoin (BTC) and the US NASDAQ 100 index. While the correlation coefficient remains high at 0.8, BTC shows a 'asymmetry' in its response, being sluggish during stock market rises but amplifying its response during declines. According to the report, the performance skew of BTC (the difference in BTC's response on stock market up days versus down days) has reached its highest level on a 365-day basis since the bear market of 2022.
