What do you think about the current next-generation technology field, especially virtual humans and generative AI?
Giusto Sara (hereinafter Sara): I think AI has made creators all over the world faster to produce content. It's the same at Aww. When imma-chan started, we mainly used CG to produce and create content centered on virtual human storytelling, but in recent years we have been using AI in all kinds of ways. For example, we plan to use AI to reduce the time it takes to create CGI characters by about 70%. Considering that most CG companies have done it completely manually and it takes a long time, it's really revolutionary in a good sense that "we can produce content faster!" It's really amazing that we can now create something so quickly, but I feel like we haven't caught up yet with "what" and "why" to create it.
I see a lot of AI content, such as generative AI, on a daily basis, but I think there is still a lot of content that is aimed at using new technology.
In the first place, the meaning of creation comes from the human desire to communicate something to someone and connect with them. After all, humans want to express themselves and connect with others. To achieve this, as Aww's CEO Moriya always says, it has to be something that "moves the heart." Move people's hearts. It can be pictures, cameras, CG, or perhaps AI next.
