Building a safe and secure financial system

First, please tell us the purpose of developing Japan Open Chain (JOC).

Hidekazu Kondo (hereinafter Kondo): JOC was developed with the aim of providing a 21st century financial infrastructure to Japan and the world. Current blockchain infrastructure has issues such as speed, cost, and governance, and JOC can solve these issues.

What was the reason behind your decision to develop JOC on an Ethereum base?

Kondo: At the beginning of development, blockchains other than Bitcoin were hardly known. In that situation, we were attracted to Ethereum's technical background, the scalability of its ecosystem, and its active community, and decided to develop it, confident of its future growth.
