Kim Woosuk (hereinafter Kim):LINE NEXT is developing a new platform and various product businesses aimed at popularizing Web3.0. Recently, on January 22nd, we released "Mini Dapp," which allows easy access to Web3.0 services on LINE Messenger. After working at startups in the fintech and commerce fields, I joined LINE in 2018 and have been in charge of the Web3.0 business.
In 2025, you released "Dapp Portal," which is based on LINE Messenger functions. What are its features?
Kim: Dapp Portal is a service that allows users to explore various LINE Mini Dapps, earn rewards, and trade assets. Through Dapp Portal, users can easily open a wallet within LINE Messenger and connect to various Dapps.
Currently, 45 Mini Dapps have been released, and in just one month the total number of users has exceeded 35 million, and the number of new wallets created has reached over 4 million. Casual games are particularly popular, with the most popular Dapp having 1.7 million users, and the top-selling Dapp generating over $1 million.
In addition, the paying user ratio (PUR) is 10%, and the average purchase amount is about $39, showing a good trend. In addition, more than 30% of payments are made with fiat currency such as credit cards, and even users who are unfamiliar with cryptocurrencies are actively using them.
