Please tell us about WAVE3's business.
Takashi Kondo (hereinafter Kondo): WAVE3's mission is to implement the latest technologies such as Web 3.0 and AI in the welfare industry. In July 2024, we began nationwide deployment of "RevelApp," a labor-fee system that utilizes blockchain games to support employment for people with disabilities.
How did you come up with the idea of connecting "welfare" and "Web 3.0," two concepts that seem somewhat separate?
Kondo: Before founding WAVE3, I founded and served as CTO of WellsTech Co., Ltd., which operates a Type B business that specializes in web work and provides employment support for people with disabilities. On the other hand, I have personally been interested in cryptocurrencies and the Web 3.0 field since around 2017.
Both of these are fields that Kondo-san was involved in.
Kondo: In 2022, we founded WAVE3 as a joint venture with cryptocurrency media CoinPost. The reason is that I was actually a classmate of CoinPost's founder, Yuki Haraguchi, in junior high school, and as we talked about various things, we got excited about the idea of doing something together in the field of welfare and Web 3.0.
