What are your views on the outlook for the Web3.0 sector beyond 2025?
Yuki Kamimoto (hereinafter, Kamimoto): Beyond 2025, Web3.0 is expected to involve a broader range of stakeholders, accelerating its penetration into society and business through various applications of blockchain technology and the establishment of regulatory frameworks.
In the near term, many are closely watching how global regulations, particularly in the U.S. under the Trump administration, will evolve. Previously reluctant major powers have now explicitly endorsed the promotion of digital assets in presidential executive orders. Moreover, key appointments within major federal agencies are being filled with individuals who have expertise in this field. As a result, not only Web3.0 companies and users but also numerous nations and institutional investors have begun actively participating in the market.
While the increasing market depth is a positive development, various challenges will arise on the path to mass adoption. It will be crucial to observe how Web3.0 integrates with the real world while preserving the decentralized and open nature that makes blockchain so compelling.
