── Can you tell us how you came to work in Yoichi Town?
Hiroko Nishikawa (hereafter, Nishikawa): In 2022, Yoichi Town launched the first phase of 'Furusato CNP,' utilizing NFTs as return gifts for hometown tax donations. This initiative, led by alyawmu inc., which promotes regional revitalization through NFTs, and Bucket Co., Ltd., which operates CryptoNinja Partners (CNP), saw all 222 NFTs priced at 30,000 yen each being donated within minutes of opening.
While it became clear that Yoichi Town has a certain number of fans, maintaining relationships with hometown tax donors was a challenge. There was no established system for ongoing communication with people outside the town. To address these issues, we began collaborating with alyawmu, with whom we had a track record of cooperation, and initiated the 'Regional Revitalization Cooperation Team DAO' project.
── What led you to join the Regional Revitalization Cooperation Team in Yoichi Town?
Nishikawa: Before joining, I was acquainted with Hiroaki Hatanaka, the representative of alyawmu. In 2023, I was a core member of 'pNouns,' a Japanese sub-DAO with proposal and voting rights in the 'Nouns DAO,' which operates the NFT collection 'Nouns.' It was through a consultation from Mr. Hatanaka, who expressed interest in participating in Nouns DAO, that I became involved. Learning about Mr. Hatanaka's business, my experience in DAO activities, and my desire to relocate and work aligned, leading me to apply for the cooperation team.
I am originally from Sapporo City, and my father's villa is in Yoichi Town, which I frequently visited since middle school. Additionally, I have experience working with wine, a specialty of Yoichi, in the nearby city of Otaru.
