Animoca Brands Japan, the Japanese subsidiary of Animoca Brands, announced on the 25th that it has begun a business collaboration with KDDI.
As the first step in the collaboration, with the support of Animoca Brands Japan, NFTs from the blockchain game "Phantom Galaxies" have begun to be sold on KDDI's NFT marketplace "αU market."
This month, Animoca Brands Japan and KDDI signed a memorandum of understanding regarding business collaboration in the Web 3.0 field. Through global collaboration in the wallet business, the two companies have been considering providing new customer experiences through Web 3.0 and collaborating with Animoca Brands' IP and content, including Phantom Galaxies.
This is the first part of the business collaboration, and the standard version of "Generative Avatars" and "Starfigher Mechas" that can be used in Phantom Galaxies will be sold at αU market, as well as the αU limited edition with unique appearance characteristics by "αU Origin".
The regular version of Generative Avatars will be sold in 850 units, 3,000 yen each. The αU limited edition will be sold in 750 units, 12,000 yen each. Generative Avatars are characters that become the player's avatars in Phantom Galaxies.
The regular version of Starfighter Mechas will be sold in 850 units, 3,000 yen each, and the αU limited edition will be sold in 750 units, 12,000 yen each. Starfighter Mechas are core items that players use for exploration and combat.
Animoca Brands Japan explains that it will continue to provide a global environment where Japanese users can seamlessly enjoy Web 3.0 games, culture, and entertainment through collaboration between "Mocaverse" and "αU" and collaboration between Animoca Brands' IP and content.
