[NEWS] Bitcoin completes fourth halving, mining rewards reach 3.125 BTC

Bitcoin (BTC) experienced its fourth halving at 9:09 a.m. on the 20th, Japan time. As a result, mining rewards were reduced from 6.25 BTC to 3.125 BTC.

ViaBTC processed the 840,000th block, when mining rewards were halved.

The next halving in Bitcoin is expected to occur around 2028, when mining rewards will be reduced from 3.125 BTC to 1.5625 BTC.

After the halving, the price of Bitcoin has been fluctuating at around $63,500 (approximately 9.8 million yen).

One point to watch in the future is the fluctuation of the hash rate due to miner trends. In the past, there have been cases where the hash rate has suddenly dropped a certain period of time after the halving.
