[NEWS] Crowdfunding giant CAMPFIRE establishes new company to enter Web 3.0 field

New services using Web 3.0 technology

CAMPFIRE, a major domestic crowdfunding company, announced that it has established a new company called "Livefor" to provide new services using Web 3.0 technology.

Livefor will develop a community platform that utilizes AI and blockchain, and will explore the provision of services related to NFT and DAO.

CAMPFIRE has operated the crowdfunding business "CAMPFIRE" for 12 years and the community platform "CAMPFIRE Community" for 8 years. With the knowledge and know-how it has gained from these businesses, and with an eye on the development of Web 3.0, it seems that it has established Livefor to focus on building new infrastructure.

The company will start with a two-person team, with Shirakawa Kouyou and Fujisaki Kenichiro as representative directors.

Shirakawa worked on smartphone game development at CyberAgent's US branch, and later participated in the launch of the token-issuing crowdfunding service "FiNANCiE." Fujisaki has worked at DeNA and Mercari before becoming CAMPFIRE's COO in April last year.

In his presentation, Shirakawa said that he had been impressed by Web 3.0 and AI in the process of considering the manufacturing environment from various perspectives, and said, "We will utilize these technologies to make proposals that will bring innovation to people's lives."

Fujisaki also said, "We will expand the possibilities of crowdfunding by incorporating Web 3.0 and AI," and will expand the scope of activities that can contribute to communities and society.

According to CAMPFIRE, they will work with Livefor in the future, and in the future, they aim to make communities and crowdfunding more mutually active through tokens.

CAMPFIRE has long been interested in the Web 3.0 field, having previously operated a cryptocurrency exchange and issued its own tokens.

Since the industry as a whole has matured since then, and regulations are being established, it appears that they have decided to enter the Web 3.0 field by leveraging their advantages, such as their track record and know-how as a major crowdfunding company.
