Objectives and Structure of the Tax Subcommittee

The Blockchain Promotion Association (BCCC, represented by Yoichiro Hirano) announced on the 12th the establishment of a new 'Tax Subcommittee' to explore tax issues arising from the use of cryptocurrencies (virtual currencies), stablecoins, and DeFi (decentralized finance).

The subcommittee will hold its kickoff event in Tokyo on September 15. Moving forward, it plans to organize regular study sessions and investigate international tax trends, aiming to compile policy recommendations for tax authorities.
