[NEWS] COLOPL teams up with South Korea's Lotte Group to create a metaverse economic zone

On the 21st, Colopl announced that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with CALIVERSE, a company under the Lotte Group in South Korea that develops and operates the metaverse business, to jointly create a metaverse economic sphere.

CALIVERSE develops and operates the high-quality metaverse "CALIVERSE." The metaverse economic sphere will be jointly created by Brilliantcrypto, Inc., a subsidiary of Colopl.

The blockchain game "Brilliantcrypto" developed by the company is a project that creates a new economic sphere in the metaverse by creating digital gems through gameplay and making it possible to bring the gems to various metaverses. As the first step in utilizing the digital gems created by Brilliantcrypto, Colopl has signed a memorandum of understanding with CALIVERS, which is developing a high-quality metaverse using Unreal Engine 5, to create a metaverse economic sphere.

CALIVERSE features a live fusion of ultra-high-definition 3D live-action video and graphics, and is attracting worldwide attention for its potential use in a variety of applications, including shopping and entertainment.

Through the next-generation metaverse, which is significantly different from existing metaverses, Brilliantcrypto aims to realize Web 3.0 with real shopping without time or place commitments, entertainment such as K-POP and EDM, and UGC centered on Create to Earn.

Through this partnership, Brilliantcrypto hopes to significantly advance the creation of an economic sphere in the metaverse by combining its "Proof of Gaming" concept, which aims for sustainable Play to Earn (P2E), CALIVERSE's metaverse technology that realizes real-world experiences and immersiveness, and Lotte Group's strong sales channels.
