It has been revealed that the NFT trading volume of the blockchain game "Gas Hero", released last month by Find Satoshi Labs, the developer and operator of the well-known M2E (Move to Earn) STEPN, has exceeded $90 million (approximately 13.3 billion yen). The Block reported on the 24th.
Find Satoshi Labs, which continues to create buzz with M2E's "STEPN", NFT marketplace "MOOAR", and multi-chain DEX "DOOAR", is also getting on track with Web 3.0 social games.
Gas Hero is a player-versus-player (PvP) game with multiple players participating at the same time. Set on a planet on the verge of destruction by AI, players belong to areas, guilds, and clans, and collect NFTs while coexisting or opposing each other.
Since its release, about 9.1 million GMT, equivalent to a total of 2.8 million dollars (approximately 414.5 million yen), has been offered to players as prize money, which has become a hot topic. In addition, the company announced that 14 million GMT will be awarded as a "bounty" to players who participate in "Gas Hero's Gas Wars PvP Battle."
Gas Hero currently has six NFT collections, and players can trade various characters, weapons, and other items as NFTs on Polygon PoS. According to Find Satoshi Labs, Gas Hero currently has more than 10,000 active users.
Polygon is bullish on the new title
Polygon Labs co-founder Sandeep Nailwal said of Gas Hero's strong performance, "(Gas Hero's popularity) reflects the current high demand for Web 3.0 games. This shows that the Polygon (MATIC) ecosystem is heading in the right direction. New gamers will enter Web 3.0."
Last March, Polygon Labs launched a project to build a gaming-specific network in collaboration with Immutable, an Ethereum (ETH) Layer 2 project like Polygon. In December, they also announced a partnership with Merit Circle DAO, which specializes in the gaming industry.
