HashPort, which provides services using blockchain and NFTs, and its subsidiary HashPalette announced on the 6th that they have signed a business partnership agreement with KDDI in the Web 3.0 field.
The two companies will work to create new everyday experiences in the Web 3.0 era and accelerate the social implementation of blockchain.
As a result of this business partnership, KDDI's NFT marketplace "αU market" and cryptocurrency wallet "αU wallet" began supporting the blockchain network "Palette Chain" provided by HashPalette on the same day.
As a result, it is now possible to provide NFTs on the Palette Chain on αU market, and to send and receive NFTs and cryptocurrency Palette Tokens (PLTs) on the same chain with αU wallet.
In July of this year, the two companies signed a memorandum of understanding to consider comprehensive collaboration in the Web 3.0 field. This time, the partnership was based on the contents of the memorandum of understanding.
In addition to αU market and αU wallet, this partnership will also involve collaboration on services such as "THE LAND Elf Forest," which Hashpalette Group plans to release in 2023, and other X to Earn products.
The two companies will also jointly consider new businesses using token technology, including soulbound tokens (SBT), and Web 3.0 content that will create new user experiences. In addition, it seems that KDDI will also consider participating as a consensus node in the Palette Chain in the future.
Hashport has been working on blockchain business since 2018, and in 2021 it will conduct Japan's first IEO through Palette tokens, and its influence in the Web 3.0 field is growing year by year.
Since last year, it has been strengthening its efforts to put soulbound tokens into practical use together with Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group.
KDDI launched "αU" as a metaverse/Web 3.0 service in March of this year. They offer αU market and αU wallet, and are accelerating their activities in the Web 3.0 field.
