INTMAX, which develops Ethereum Layer 2 solutions such as "INTMAX zkRollup", has announced that it will hold "PlasmaCon" in Tokyo as an official event of Japan Blockchain Week and a side event of "EDCON Tokyo 2024", an Ethereum development conference.
PlasmaCon is scheduled to be held on July 31st at the United Nations University in Tokyo from 12:30 to 17:00.
PlasmaCon will be a builder-focused event that will bring together some of the industry's best minds to explore various challenges, including alternatives to scaling Ethereum, privacy issues, and statelessness.
Top industry speakers include Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin, as well as the following speakers:
- Justin Drake: Ethereum Foundation researcher
- Suji Yan: Mask Network founder
- Scott Moore: Public Works founder and Gitcoin co-founder
- Leona Hioki: Plasma researcher and INTMAX co-founder, among others
INTMAX has positioned the upcoming PlasmaCon as a "special event." The background to this is that in 2017, Buterin and Joseph Poon first conceptualized Plasma as a scaling solution for Ethereum, aiming to bring Visa-level transaction volume to Ethereum.
The event will also limit participants to 400 people, and will invite more than 15 experts from around the world to share their knowledge and insights on a variety of topics, including the revival of Plasma, privacy and data availability issues, Blobs, recursiveZKP, and dApps on Plasma.
You will have the opportunity to interact with industry leaders, ask questions on panels, and participate in discussions with the world's top intellectuals.
The key themes of the event are "Ethereum Scalability Solutions," "Enhancing Privacy," and "Application Use Cases." Specifically, they are as follows:
- Ethereum Scalability Solutions: New technologies and protocols that improve Ethereum’s scalability, making it faster and more efficient.
- Privacy Enhancements: Latest developments in technologies to ensure user privacy on the Ethereum network, a key concern in this digital age.
- Application Use Cases: Various use cases for blockchain technology.
"It's time to let everyone know that Plasma is not dead - it's even stronger than it was in 2018. PlasmaCon brought together some of the greatest thinkers and pioneers transforming the entire tech industry. Now is the time to rethink Plasma, statelessness, and privacy. See you in Tokyo on July 31st!" INTMAX co-founder Hioki said in a statement.
