On the 24th, Overs, the issuer of Nippon Idol Token (NIDT), announced that the total sales amount of the IEO exceeded 1 billion yen.
According to the company, this is the second time that the sales amount of a domestic IEO has exceeded 1 billion yen.
Purchase applications for NIDT were made at two domestic cryptocurrency exchanges, Coinbook and DMM Bitcoin. This was the first time that two companies in Japan conducted an IEO for the same project.
According to the announcement, the total sales amount of this IEO was 203,690,000 for both companies. The sales amount was 1,018,450,000 yen.
Breaking it down, the total sales amount on Coinbook was 69,660,000, or 376,164,000 yen, and on DMM Bitcoin it was 130,709,000.
The funds raised will be used for the operation of the new idol creation project "IDOL3.0 PROJECT" promoted by Overs.
NIDT functions as a utility token, and holders can receive various rights.
IDOL3.0 PROJECT is produced by Yasushi Akimoto, who has worked on AKB48 and Nogizaka46. The project aims to create an idol group that is updated to meet the changing times and needs without being bound by traditional idol activities and management methods.
Specifically, the project plans to develop activities in both real places such as concerts and handshake events, and virtual activities such as metaverse spaces and online.
Recruitment for members of the idol group will begin this month, and the final selection will be made after a training camp in August and September. After that, the members will be announced from autumn to winter this year, and activities such as live performances and NFT sales will begin.
