[NEWS] "I love Bitcoin and gold," says well-known investor Paul Tudor Jones

I like Bitcoin and Gold

On the 10th, in an interview with CNBC, well-known investor Paul Tudor Jones spoke about hedging against rising geopolitical risks, saying, "I like Bitcoin (BTC) and gold." He was referring to the possibility of choosing to hold Bitcoin and gold.

Jones is the founder of hedge fund Tudor Investment Corporation and a member of the board of directors of the Robin Hood Foundation. Jones, who is also a conservationist and philanthropist, is also known as a billionaire.

As a guest on CNBC, Jones was asked by host Andrew Ross Sorkin about markets, interest rates, the Federal Reserve, wars in the Middle East, and other topics, and shared his own views.

First of all, Jones said that he "thinks it's a great tragedy" about the escalating conflict between Israel and Hamas, and that Ukraine and Russia, Taiwan and China, etc. are also facing serious geopolitical risks.

He went on to say that the United States is in its worst financial situation since World War II, and that "it's a really tough time for the United States, which has certainly been a leader." He also mentioned that if interest rates reach 122% of GDP, interest costs will rise, leading to a vicious cycle of increased government bond issuance. He expressed the view that within a few years, interest rates will be the highest in history as a percentage of GDP, which will also lead to tax increases.

He then stated that gold and Bitcoin could make up a large portion of the portfolio, and that there will likely be an increase in assets such as Bitcoin and gold as a risk hedge against a future decline in U.S. stocks.

He further stated that he expects to see the purchase of $40 billion (about 6 trillion yen) worth of gold between now and the time of the economic downturn, and said, "I like Bitcoin and gold the most right now. They are the most important safe assets, and I also value them in my hedge fund."
