Career Turning Points for People in Their Twenties Today
Key Takeaways from the 'Web3 & AI Summit Autumn 2025'
AI & Web3.0 Redefining the Premise of Careers
AI is moving beyond replacing tasks to transforming job design itself. Web3.0 is fundamentally rewriting financial infrastructure and mechanisms for value transfer. People in their twenties should focus on designing autonomous careers that combine expertise with technology.
The Future of Finance: Tokenization, Stablecoins, and AI Agents Take Center Stage
Speakers from securities, banking, telecommunications, and Web3.0 companies discussed a future where the foundation of finance is completely revamped. A world where 'code operates 24/7' and 'AI agents handle automatic settlements' is already becoming a reality. For young professionals, it's crucial to update their financial literacy through hands-on experiences.
Only Those Who Act and Keep Questioning Will Seize Opportunities
The common themes highlighted by the speakers were 'sincerity, execution, and immersion'. The ability to master AI and choose challenging environments is determined by one's level of activity. In an era without clear answers, adopting a 'just do it' attitude is key to breaking through career barriers.
What Should People in Their Twenties Choose?
As AI rapidly advances and Web3.0 strengthens its presence as a foundation for new industries, the careers of those in their twenties are reaching points where conventional wisdom no longer applies.
The 'Web3 & AI Summit Autumn 2025', held on November 30, 2025, at the headquarters of Sumishin SBI Net Bank and online, aimed to show young professionals how to navigate the rapid technological shifts. Organized by WeCreate3 and Chiba Institute of Technology's Web3 Research Group, co-hosted by Sumishin SBI Net Bank, and supported by Waseda University's Global Science and Technology Fusion Research Institute, the event attracted a diverse audience of students and young professionals. The first 50 attendees received the latest issue of Iolite, making it an attractive event for young people eager to learn about the cutting edge of technology, finance, and careers.
In an era where AI and Web3.0 are merging and redefining industrial structures, young people must decide what to learn and which areas to challenge. This event provided a multifaceted perspective on these questions, offering participants a new compass for their careers.
Opening & Sponsor Session
The event kicked off with a greeting from Takeshi Sakai of Sumishin SBI Net Bank, who expressed his welcome from the perspective of providing the Roppongi office venue, supporting the student-led event organization.
Sakai touched on the bank's culture that overturns conventional wisdom, noting, 'Most executives are in their forties, and the youngest manager was promoted in his fourth year. As a digital bank without physical branches, we aim to create a new form of finance.'
He made a compelling call for colleagues to transcend the traditional 'stiff' banking image and 'reinvent' finance. This was followed by introductions from the event organizers, WeCreate3 and Chiba Institute of Technology's Web3 Research Group, highlighting the event's purpose and participating communities. The presence of student partners in the front row underscored that the event was 'driven by the younger generation,' who are keenly gathering information on evolving technologies.
WeCreate3's representative, Taiga Yano, emphasized, 'Make today a day of action. Speaking to the speakers can open career opportunities.'
Professor Toru Asahi from Waseda University, representing a sponsoring organization, spoke on the importance of personnel who can handle AI and Web3.0 as tools, stressing that 'specialization × technology' creates new value.
He shared his experience of running a blockchain course for seven years, noting, 'AI and Web3.0 are becoming technologies accessible to everyone. Regardless of one's specialty, understanding and integrating technologies is crucial,' and inspired the audience by highlighting how networks built during student days are foundational for research and careers, ensuring that 'connections made today will definitely benefit the future.'
Keynote & Pitch | Sponsors Share Their Vision for “The Next Era of Finance and Careers”
The keynote session featured a video message from Takumi Usui (known as usutaku), CEO of Michikusa and a popular influencer among students. Addressing the real anxieties young people face—job-hunting stress, fear of being replaced by AI—he emphasized that “the value that remains in the age of AI is the ability to keep doing what you love.”
He spoke about how his own career was formed through a series of coincidences and unexpected turns, encouraging students by saying, “If you keep taking action, the dots will always connect in the end.” His message that every action—posting on social media, video editing, traveling abroad, internships—ultimately becomes part of one’s career resonated strongly with the young audience.
Main Sponsor | Slash Vision Labs and the Future of the “Internet of Money”
Shinsuke Sato, CEO of Slash Vision Labs—the event’s main sponsor—presented a bold vision for transforming Japan’s financial system. His company is building next-generation financial applications centered on stablecoins, positioning themselves as “a hub connecting traditional finance and crypto assets.”
Sato framed stablecoins as “the internet of money,” describing a future where fund transfers, asset management, and payments are seamlessly integrated just as information has been digitized. By combining a legally compliant self-custodial wallet with a Visa-compatible crypto card, Slash aims to create a world where users can “use yen like dollars, and dollars like yen.”
Two ideas were particularly striking: the plan to open access to 4–8% stablecoin yields to everyday users, and the mission to give Japan’s younger generation financial tools to “protect their future” amid ongoing yen depreciation.
“AI enhances the existing world,” Sato concluded, “but Web3 transforms the underlying structure itself.” He emphasized that the convergence of AI and Web3 will define the future of finance.
Sponsor Session | Vir: A Young Tech Company Taking on New Challenges
Next on stage was Tensei Ando, Executive Vice President of Vir. The company is an unusual startup where, apart from its CEO, all members are in their early twenties. Starting as a golf-wear brand, Vir has rapidly expanded into AI reskilling services, contracted development, and event sponsorship.
Ando, currently a fourth-year university student who holds multiple corporate roles, showcased the potential of youth-driven business creation. The company’s commitment to providing “genuine AI education” without relying on subsidies, as well as its active support for student-led tech events, aligns closely with the spirit of this conference.
Vir plans to further expand its apparel line nationwide and co-host AI events with student communities. Ando stressed that the company aims to become a platform that connects young engineers and creators, offering new opportunities for collaboration and growth.
