The real face of the popular crypto YouTuber: His experiences and thoughts on cryptocurrency investment — gloways Mohsin interview

The trigger was raising the funds necessary for investment

Nagatomo: How did you discover crypto assets and why did you start YouTube?

Moshin: I started getting involved with crypto assets around the time of the Coincheck hacking incident in 2018. Before that, I was trading FX and I was constantly losing, so I decided to make a fresh start and try trading seriously, risking my life.

However, I only had bad memories of foreign exchange, so I was looking for something else to trade with leverage, and that's when I found out about crypto asset FX. After that, I started by opening an account with GMO Coin, and began using overseas exchanges as well.

I was a company employee at the time, but I joined a school that taught me trading, and studied every day after work until late at night, and just worked as hard as I could. About six months later, I had an epiphany, and my performance started to stabilize from that point on.

Mentality is very important in trading, and it's important to set a small lot size compared to your investment, but I realized that I needed a lot of investment to become the "trader who earns 100 million yen a year" that I was aiming for at the time.

Also, even though there were many YouTubers who talked about how they were making money from FX at the time, there was no one who taught me the important thing of keeping the lot size small compared to my capital. I thought there might be a demand for this, and since it would be difficult to earn enough capital on just a company salary, I looked for a way to make money, so I turned my attention to YouTube and started posting information.

Nagatomo: You said you were self-taught up until then, but how much did you study per day?

Moshin: After I decided to work hard, I studied and traded for about 3-4 hours every day after work. That was my lifestyle until I quit my job in 2021. My performance stabilized in 2018, and I started YouTube in 2019. I was juggling work, study, trading, and YouTube, so it was tough for about two and a half years until I quit my job. But it was fun, so the time passed by in a flash.

Nagatomo: Please tell us your current daily routine.

Moshin: I wake up around 6-6:30 in the morning and do morning analysis for members of "gloways". After that, I start filming the YouTube video that will be distributed that day from around 14:30, edit it, and finish uploading it around 17:30.

Since 2019, I have completely lost time with my family, but now that I can work from home with a lot of freedom, I have regained time with my wife and children. When it comes to information, I look at about 15 media outlets. There are about three Japanese media outlets and the rest are overseas media.

Articles that are popular overseas are spread by multiple media, so I try to pick up such articles that are attracting attention. Also, although it is necessary to scrutinize the information, I think X is number one in terms of speed.
