The Bitcoin market in 2024 started as the fourth halving year and showed remarkable growth as expected. The listing of Bitcoin spot ETFs in the United States, the interest rate cut, and Trump's victory in the presidential election had a positive impact, and the price of Bitcoin exceeded 15 million yen per BTC, reaching a new all-time high.

Given the pattern of the past three halvings, Bitcoin is expected to rise further toward 2025. As a tailwind for this, there are growing expectations that reforms to cryptocurrency regulations will be made under the next President Trump in the United States.

Specifically, the definition of cryptocurrency, which has been fluctuating between securities and commodities, will be clarified, and appropriate supervisory agencies will be established, eliminating regulatory uncertainty. In addition, cryptocurrency advocates are expected to take on key posts, including the chairman of the SEC (US Securities and Exchange Commission), and the attitude of promoting cryptocurrency is strengthening throughout the United States.

As a result, the business environment for cryptocurrency-related companies in the United States is expected to improve significantly, and trading of not only Bitcoin but also altcoins is expected to become more active.
