Where to Place Your Perspective — The True “Lens” of Web3

Introduction

Nice to meet you all. My name is Shogo Yamato (“Yamasho”), and I am the CEO of Rivique Studio LLC.

I am truly honored and delighted to have been given the opportunity to contribute to Iolite as an opinion columnist through this online series.

From 2019 to 2025, I worked at domestic crypto asset exchanges such as Coincheck and bitFlyer, where I was involved in a wide range of responsibilities. These included project management and token due diligence for new listings, as well as serving as the lead for Japan’s first IEO and bitFlyer’s inaugural IEO.

At the same time, I contributed to industry development through my role at the Japan Cryptoasset Business Association (JCBA), where I served as Vice Chair of the ICO/IEO Committee and as a board member of the NFT Committee. In these positions, I was engaged in lobbying efforts and the preparation of policy proposals.

Since becoming independent, I have also been involved in multiple projects across the space. Drawing on these experiences, I aim to write articles that help readers interpret developments in crypto assets, blockchain, and the broader Web3 domain from a variety of perspectives.

I will continue striving to deliver content that is both informative and engaging for readers. I would greatly appreciate your support—and I hope you will follow along warmly as this series unfolds.
