A system is not a shackle that restricts your freedom, but a foundation to express your true self
The Long-Awaited New Digital Single Drops 4.15
8th Digital Single "7 Seconds of Resistance"
Summary
1. Structure does not stifle individuality; it is the foundation that unlocks creativity.
Encountering MUJI's philosophy helped me realize that a "90% framework" is precisely what allows individual creativity to shine in the remaining 10%. Rules don't restrict who you are; rather, they provide the groundwork to maximize your true self-expression.
2. Clarifying purpose and building systems for shared understanding are vital for a stronger team.
To ensure our efforts aren't wasted, it's crucial to define clear goals, deadlines, and target levels, creating an environment where every member is moving in the same direction. As captain, I recognize that establishing these structures is my responsibility.
3. The accumulation of small systems accelerates team growth.
As a concrete step, I plan to introduce practices such as "setting a shared goal before live performances." I believe that building up these small, daily systems is the key to elevating the group to the next stage.
Hi, I'm AOI from WHITE SCORPION! Following our live performance late last year, I was entrusted with the huge responsibility of becoming the group's captain.
When I first found out, I was surprised, but that was quickly followed by an indescribable anxiety. As I faced my own inexperience and looked for some kind of guidance, I picked up the book Muji's 90% System: Keep Work Simple.
Initially, I was worried. In the idol industry, individuality is our greatest asset, and I was afraid that restricting our work with rules might erase what makes each member special.
However, MUJI's core philosophy taught me otherwise: it is precisely because you have a solid 90% framework that individual creativity can truly flourish in the remaining 10%.
