WHITE SCORPION's Thoughts on Work Vol.4

Autumn? Winter? Spring? NATSU! ("Natsu" means summer, so I guess this makes me the last season standing.) Hey everyone, it's NATSU from WHITE SCORPION.

Looking for hints on how our team could trust each other more and move forward together, I read Natsumi Iwasaki's What If the Manager of a High School Baseball Team Read Drucker's "Management" (aka Moshidora). Beyond the sheer fun of transposing management theory onto high school baseball, this book made me realize how important it is to face your organization and the people in it with sincerity.

When I came across the word "customer" in the book, it got me thinking: what if the "customer" isn't just the people on the outside, but also the inside — the team members themselves, as people who should also be receiving value from within the organization? That reframed things for me. An organization isn't just some robot that fulfills its function and keeps churning out results. Maybe a real organization is one where people properly fulfill their roles as human beings, and grow by moving each other's hearts — not just the people on the outside, but the people on the inside too.
