CZ (Changpeng Zhao), founder of the major cryptocurrency Binance, announced on the 19th that he has created a new educational project called "Giggle Academy".
Currently, Giggle Academy is looking for members.
The project aims to provide basic education to everyone for free. There are no plans to issue new tokens.
The project is non-profit and aims to provide education through games. Members are expected to have a passion for games, learning, and education, and a strong interest in game development and design.
The policy is to design, develop, and implement interactive game applications and learning materials based on e-learning objectives. Work with educators, designers, and product managers to understand user needs and make these into the concept of the game.
To motivate learning, they plan to introduce scoring and rankings, as well as give NFT badges that represent learning progress.
Project unrelated to Binance
This project will be launched as a project unrelated to Binance. In November last year, CZ agreed to a three-year ban on involvement with Binance as a condition of settling with the US regulators.
When CZ stepped down as CEO, he said, "I would like to take a break and then invest in startups in the blockchain and Web 3.0 fields."
CZ is currently awaiting a ruling in court. The ruling was originally scheduled for February, but has been postponed until April 30.
CZ could be sentenced to up to 18 months in prison, and attention is focused on the outcome of the trial.
