[NEWS] BlackRock's Ethereum Spot ETF Surpasses $1 Billion

BlackRock, the world's largest asset manager

The iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA), an Ethereum (ETH) spot ETF managed by BlackRock, the world's largest asset manager, has net assets of more than $860 million.

Only Grayscale's Mini Ethereum Trust "ETH" and Ethereum Trust "ETHE" are larger.

According to Morningstar data, ETHA is expected to become the first Ethereum exchange-traded fund to exceed $1 billion, with net inflows reaching approximately $992 million.

Despite Ethereum's declining market dominance, BlackRock's ETHA continues to attract investor interest.

According to Glassnode, Ethereum's dominance has fallen from 16.8% to 15.2% since the collapse of cryptocurrency exchange FTX in November 2022.

However, ETHA's net assets reached $837.8 million (121.5 billion yen) as of the 21st, confirming that investor interest remains strong.

This is largely due to the trust placed in BlackRock as the world's largest asset management company.

This means that an Ethereum spot ETF operated by BlackRock is safe and is expected to increase in value in the future.

ETHA's net inflows are approaching $1 billion (145 billion yen), indicating growing trust and expectations for Ethereum-based ETFs.

According to Morningstar data, ETHA's net inflows have exceeded the combined value of the next largest Ethereum spot ETFs, due to interest from registered investment advisors (RIAs).

BlackRock's ETHA leads the market

BlackRock's ETHA stands at this historic milestone. At the same time, it also highlights the competition among crypto spot ETFs.

According to SoSoValue data, Ethereum spot ETFs have faced net outflows totaling more than $440 million, contrasting with ETHA’s robust inflows.

This difference further solidifies BlackRock’s leadership in the space, as BlackRock’s Ethereum spot ETF outperforms competitors such as Fidelity’s FETH and Bitwise’s ETHW.

With growing interest from RIAs and the milestone looming, ETHA is positioned to continue dominating the Ethereum spot ETF market.

This growing momentum could set the stage for future developments in the broader crypto spot ETF space.

The approaching $1 billion milestone underscores the success of BlackRock’s Ethereum spot ETF and signals a major shift in market focus toward Ethereum-based products.
