Asia Web3 Alliance Japan (AWAJ) and Web3 Salon announced on the 24th that they will launch the Japan Financial Infrastructure Innovation Program (JFIIP) in collaboration with Ripple.
Partners participating in the program include JETRO, Mizuho Bank, SMBC Nikko Securities, Securitize Japan, HIRAC FUND, and Toyota Blockchain Lab. Through JFIIP, the initiative aims to support Japanese startups in developing enterprise-grade, regulation-compliant digital financial solutions on various blockchain networks, including the XRP Ledger (XRPL).
According to the announcement, JFIIP reflects Ripple’s intention to help developers scale their businesses by providing support across technical, financial, and business dimensions, thereby further strengthening Japan’s startup ecosystem. By supporting the next generation of Web3 and fintech startups, the program seeks to position Japan as a global leader in regulation-compliant digital finance and financial infrastructure innovation.
The program will focus on promoting innovation across three key areas:
- Stablecoins and payments
- Real-world asset (RWA) tokenization
- Credit infrastructure
