A specific date has been set for Ethereum's (ETH) next upgrade, "Pectra."
According to Ethereum core developers, Pectra will be implemented on the testnet Holesky at 21:55:12 (UTC) on February 24th, and on the testnet Sepolia at 7:29:36 (UTC) on March 5th.
If the implementation on Sepolia goes smoothly, the "ACD (Ethereum All Core Developers) Call" will be held on March 6th to set the implementation slot on the mainnet. Developers expect that the implementation on the mainnet will most likely take place in early April.
Pectra is scheduled to improve the efficiency of the Ethereum network and change the amount that validators can stake at one time from the current 32 ETH to 2,048 ETH.
Some institutional investors believe that further increased demand for the Ethereum network due to Pectra will have a positive impact on prices, so the progress of the upgrade is expected to attract increasing attention.
