The SEC (US Securities and Exchange Commission) announced on the 24th (Japan time) that it has approved several spot Ethereum ETFs.
Following the approval of Bitcoin (BTC) in January this year, a spot ETF for the cryptocurrency Ethereum (ETH) has been launched in the US.
The SEC has now approved eight spot Ethereum ETFs, including applications by BlackRock and VanEck. The approved applications are as follows:
Grayscale Ethereum Trust
Bitwise Ethereum ETF
iShares Ethereum Trust
VanEck Ethereum Trust
ARK 21Shares Ethereum ETF
Invesco Galaxy Ethereum ETF
Fidelity Ethereum Fund
Franklin Ethereum ETF
Spot Ethereum ETF has been approved, and at the time of writing, the Ethereum price is hovering around $3,800 (approximately 596,000 yen).
This approval was granted by the exchange's "19b-4" document, and the S-1 registration statement needs to be approved in order to officially start trading in the future.
Therefore, the start date of trading has not been announced at this time.
