On the 15th, Slash Vision announced the official release of 'Slash App,' which integrates self-custody wallet capabilities for storing and transferring stablecoins with payment and management functions via 'Slash Card.'
In conjunction with this announcement, the 'Slash Card' has been made publicly available. Users can now apply directly through the 'Slash App.'
According to the announcement, 'Slash App' now includes a 'Friend Referral Program' and 'Biometric Login,' expanding its identity verification methods. Previously limited to My Number Card verification, it will now also support identity verification via driver's licenses.
Future plans include introducing three card tiers for the 'Slash Card.' Specifically, the tiers will be 'Virtual,' 'Normal,' and 'Premium,' with 'Tier Points' awarded based on subscription participation and lending amounts, determining the benefits for each tier.
The 'Slash Card' is issued with Orico as the BIN sponsor handling international brand compatibility, and Aiquitas as the card issuer responsible for customer management and system operations. Slash Vision acts as the program manager and brand provider, overseeing the development, operation, and brand provision of the 'Slash Card.'
Pre-orders began in June 2025, with sequential issuance starting in April 2026. Additionally, in August, the governance token of the Slash ecosystem, Slash Vision Labs (SVL), began trading on the domestic cryptocurrency exchange CoinTrade.
