What do you think about the current state of the Web 3.0 field?
Shuhei Mise (hereinafter, Mise): I think that the very fact that the term Web 3.0 was coined is proof that since Satoshi Nakamoto's paper in October 2008, there has been steady development, including technological advances and public awareness. Following Bitcoin, which was a simple means of storing value, the birth of Ethereum built a foundation for people who share the same values to create their own economic sphere through tokens and NFTs.
However, I still think that mass adoption will take time. I think that the reasons for this are that the technological foundation is still insufficient, there is a lack of knowledge to apply technology to business, and the development of laws to support it has not kept up.
I think it will take some time because it is necessary to create services that generate enough enthusiasm to create killer content and a unique economic sphere, to further develop laws to support this, and to cultivate the discerning eyes of users who can identify good projects.
