The BC game I worked on is “No. 1 in the world”
Create masterpiece IP using Oasys from Japan
Games are the most important area in the development of Web 3.0 in Japan. The world's leading companies will dominate the industry this year.
Japan is known as one of the world's leading gaming countries, and many titles continue to be loved today.
In the blockchain game field, "My Crypto Heroes", an Ethereum-based domestic title developed by double jump.tokyo and currently operated by MCH Corporation, achieved the highest transaction volume, transaction volume, and DAU in 2019. It ranks number 1 in the world.
double jump.tokyo transitioned to a two-person representative director system in October last year, with Ryo Sakka assuming the same position. Currently, attention is being focused on the skills of Mr. Satisfied, who worked on My Crypt Heroes.
Existence of content that overcomes hurdles
If there are no popular games, the number of users will not increase. We will fulfill our responsibilities as a leading company in the industry.
Manzoku: Last year saw the Lunar Shock and the bankruptcy of FTX, and the economy was bad, especially in North America. I think the demand for crypto assets and NFTs, which had been increasing since the spread of the new coronavirus, has calmed down, and the consolidation of Web 3.0 area services has progressed both domestically and internationally. However, I personally believe that there is no need to be pessimistic about this. Domestic companies in particular have been largely unaffected by the FTX bankruptcy. In the case of Japan, the trend has been to utilize unique assets such as IP rather than investment businesses, so I don't think the fire itself is extinguished. Last year, and the year before that, I think each company was in a phase of figuring out what they should do, but that has come to an end, and I feel this year is the time for the results to be made public.
We believe that Oasys has a large role to play in terms of the outlook for the gaming and NFT fields.
Many of the founding members of double jump.tokyo are also involved in Oasys, and I think it is an ideal system for building blockchain games, so I hope it will be used in many projects both domestically and internationally.
One of our titles, ``Brave Frontier Heroes,'' is scheduled to undergo a major update in March and will be compatible with Oasys.
The emergence of interesting and popular titles is essential for attracting users, and is also important for the development of blockchain games.
Currently, there are hurdles unique to the crypto assets and blockchain fields, but unless enough content is created to overcome them, the number of users will not increase. At our company, we have several games in the works, some of which have been announced and others not, and we are in the process of designing them in order to deliver them to a mass audience.
In an effort to lower the barrier to entry, we are currently developing a wallet for blockchain gamers that specializes in Oasys. It has a simple design that is easy to use even for first-time users.
For double jump.tokyo, I think this will be a year where we will mainly work on projects that utilize Oasys. In addition to Oasys, we will also focus on the ``Captain Tsubasa'' NFT charity project and ``Asset Million Arthur'' using LINE Blockchain.
Personally, since I was appointed as CEO last October, I feel that I am expected to collaborate with major game companies and other companies to bring better content to the world. I want to work hard to deliver a good game.
