Please tell us your thoughts on the outlook for the Web3.0 field in 2025.
Kenta Ozawa (hereinafter, Ozawa): I think that the bull market in 2024 and the trend of "Mini App x Web3.0 use cases" on Telegram will continue, and on top of that, I think that two points will be developed further: "1) Mass penetration of crypto itself will increase user awareness and gain citizenship" and "2) Mass penetration through off-chain entrance at the app layer".
First of all, I think that crypto will penetrate more in a way that is not just speculative, such as Bitcoin ETF, the transformation by the Trump camp in the US presidential election, and the inflow of crypto money from companies. In addition, we are also looking forward to the expansion of use cases as AI agents such as "Based Agent" developed by Coinbase are combined with Web3.0 technology and the transaction form changes.
For 2, I expect mass penetration as Web3.0 use cases for Japan, such as Mercari NFT and LINE Mini Dapp in the RWA field, are carried out from the off-chain area. MOCHIRON will also focus on the LINE Mini Dapp and Telegram Mini App areas, and intends to lead the way in making it easy for users and businesses to adopt and enjoy.
MOCHIRON announced its business expansion at the same time as changing its name last October. What was the background and intention behind this decision?
Ozawa: MOCHIRON was originally called AstarGames, and continues to operate in areas including the Astar Chain operated by Startale Labs, with whom we still have a capital relationship. Given this situation, I have long thought that as a vendor in the corporate sector of Web3.0, it would be better for everyone to have a broad perspective and support cases, rather than narrowing down too much on chains and business areas.
