What is your outlook for the Web3.0 sector beyond 2025?
Koki Hosogane (hereinafter Hosogane): One of the key areas I am focusing on is payments. As more and more assets move on-chain, the continued development of DeFi and RWA (Real World Assets) is a natural progression, and these fields have been steadily expanding each year. As money flows more seamlessly on-chain, the next phase will involve the growth of payment solutions and stablecoins. On this foundation, industries such as entertainment, gaming, and IP businesses will integrate, creating a seamless experience across various sectors.
In this regard, I see great potential in the Mini Dapp ecosystem on the LINE platform, which we are actively working on through our partnerships. We are currently challenging ourselves to explore what can be created within this seamless experience, pushing boundaries and testing new possibilities.
On a personal level, I have been running a Japanese restaurant for over 10 years, which has led me to explore the application of blockchain technology in the food industry, particularly in payments and on-chain solutions.
Additionally, I am a passionate wine enthusiast, having collected over 3,000 bottles and been deeply involved in the wine industry for more than a decade. However, the wine industry has significant pain points, and I believe blockchain-based solutions could address these challenges. This is why I made a personal investment last year in InterCellar, a Bordeaux-based project working on wine RWA (Real World Assets). I see great potential for blockchain to solve key issues in the food sector as well.
I anticipate that by 2027–2028, the development of these various fields will not only solve critical societal challengesbut also generate new revenue streams, driving real progress and transformation in multiple industries.
