A New Form of Support: Co-Creation

WLF PROJECT × Support for Woman’s Happiness — Three Key Takeaways

1|A Support Model That Creates Opportunities for Self-Reliance, Not “Donations”

The collaboration between WLF and SWH focuses not on financial aid or donations, but on creating opportunities for people with disabilities to work, learn, and take pride in their achievements. Initiatives such as bamboo fan production in Laos illustrate a growing circular model designed to foster local self-reliance.

2|Blockchain as a New Social Infrastructure That Makes “Trust” and “Contribution” Visible

WLF envisions a system that records and attributes “good deeds” and “community contributions” on the blockchain, treating them as forms of value. This technology ensures transparency in support activities and outlines a future in which society moves from charity-based giving to co-creative social contribution.

3|Achieving a Shift From Being Supported to Becoming a Supporter Through Web3.0 × Social Welfare Collaboration

SWH aims to build a society where those who receive support can eventually become supporters themselves. Through its partnership with WLF, a culture that nurtures pride and confidence in work is beginning to take root. The initiative is expected to serve as a “first penguin” for new charity models within the Web3.0 ecosystem.

What’s WLF PROJECT

A Japan-originated Web3.0 project aiming to evolve the 'Werewolf game' into a global entertainment phenomenon. Utilizing NFTs and tokens, it creates new experiences where both players and spectators can participate and earn rewards. The project is globally expanding with trust as its theme.

What’s Support for Woman’s Happiness

In Laos, the NGO Support for Woman’s Happiness is working towards a society where people with disabilities can be independent, conducting education and welfare support. They are fostering a symbiotic system of mutual support through school construction, establishment of disability workshops, and collaboration with Japan.

Starting from the Werewolf game, WLF PROJECT (hereafter, WLF) designs 'trust-based communication' and the NGO Support for Woman’s Happiness (hereafter, SWH) operates workshops with disabled individuals in Laos. Their connection is not about 'donations' but about 'creating opportunities for independence.'

Previously, 'support' primarily meant delivering funds or goods. However, with the advent of the Web3.0 concept and AI, the one-way relationship of 'giving/receiving support' is evolving into a 'co-creation' relationship.

Now that companies and individuals can directly engage in solving social issues through technology, what may be required is a system that balances 'transparency' and 'empathy.'

From the seemingly entertainment realm of the Werewolf game, WLF is redesigning societal trust, while SWH supports independence in developing countries. The intersection of their distinct approaches may hold clues to a future where 'technology' and 'warmth' coexist.

──Could you please explain your current activities again?

Kazu Suzuki (hereafter, Kazu): 'WLF PROJECT' aims to cultivate the power of trust through the Werewolf game, contributing to world peace. We are currently developing a new online Werewolf game that transcends language barriers, building a humanitarian economic zone using our unique token 'WLF,' and developing Werewolf games for educational purposes.

Recently, we have been focusing on educational Werewolf games. Children carry out 'good deeds missions,' and their peers try to guess who the 'Werewolf' is based on these actions.

The goal is not to suspect each other but to find the 'good actions' of friends. We want to create a culture where people communicate about the good things happening unseen.

Originally, I felt that the lack of 'trust among people' was the root cause of conflicts. The Werewolf game contains a microcosm of society in the acts of 'trusting, doubting, and discerning.' Therefore, if we can positively transform this structure, it could become a means of education and community formation.

Yurina Ishihara (hereafter, Ishihara): We operate workshops in Laos with people with disabilities. We started eight years ago, supporting independence through handicrafts and agriculture.

Laos still lacks a welfare system like Japan's, and there are no schemes like disability pensions. Therefore, through international cooperation, we aim to empower the locals to eventually become 'supporters' themselves.

Initially, we started with just a treadle sewing machine in an empty room. Without national aid or a welfare system, and with hardly any reliable contacts, we started with just our determination, gradually gathering desks and tools with the locals, and shaping the workshop by trial and error.

At first, there were doubts about why we were working with people with disabilities, but as we showed the finished products, the villagers' expressions changed, and the day we first sold our products at the market, everyone applauded. That moment, I realized that this was not just support, but working together.

Our philosophy is 'from being supported to being supporters.' People with disabilities are not pitiable; they simply lacked opportunities. If the environment is right, anyone can live on their own strength, a realization we experience daily.
