Trends in Ethereum Burns

The amount of cryptocurrency Ethereum (ETH) burned from transaction fees has fallen to an all-time low.

According to the following chart from Etherscan, the daily burn amount on March 23rd fell to about 50 ETH. It has been noted that activity on the blockchain for Ethereum is decreasing.

What is Burning?

The act of reducing the supply of cryptocurrency. When burned, the supply decreases, making it easier for upward pressure to be placed on prices.

In August 2021, Ethereum implemented a major upgrade called "London," which reduced the basic fee to 50 ETH.
