Adopting Bitcoin as a financial asset

On the 25th, GameStop, a major US game retailer, officially announced its cryptocurrency (virtual currency) Bitcoin (BTC) investment policy, announcing in its fourth quarter financial report that the board of directors unanimously approved and adopted Bitcoin as a financial reserve.

The company has now updated its investment policy to allow investment in Bitcoin and US dollar-denominated stable coins. It appears that the company has launched a new asset strategy while recognizing the risks associated with virtual currency investment.
