The Asia Web3 Alliance Japan (AWAJ), a general incorporated association that aims to build a safe and innovative Web3 ecosystem, sent a letter to Commissioner Hester Peirce, head of the Crypto Asset (Virtual Currency) Task Force of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), on the 25th.

The purpose of the letter is to propose Japan-US cooperation in tokenizing assets and regulating Web3. It focuses on the tokenization economy rather than Web3 as a whole, and calls for regulatory cooperation to enable Japanese and American startups and companies to succeed in the token economy.
