The U.S. House of Representatives introduces the latest version of the bill on stablecoins for payments, including changes to exclude interest-bearing coins.

The U.S. House of Representatives introduced a revised and updated version of the Stablecoin Transparency and Accountability Act (STABLE Act) on March 26.

The bill was drafted by Republican Reps. French Hill and Brian Steil.

It aims to regulate settlement stablecoins, introduce a new compliance regime, and clarify the rules for issuing and using dollar-backed digital assets.
