On March 25, OpenAI announced the image generation function of ChatGPT-4o, and the Studio Ghibli-style art quickly spread on social media. Meme coin traders took advantage of this new AI art trend called "Ghiblification" and issued a Ghibli-related cryptocurrency meme coin, driving up its price.

The background to this is that celebrities such as OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and Elon Musk posted Ghibli-style portraits of themselves, which spurred the "Ghibli-ization" trend.
