French state-owned investment bank launches $40 million cryptocurrency fund

$27 Million Token Fund

On March 27, French state-owned investment bank Bpifrance announced a new investment strategy in the cryptocurrency and blockchain fields. It plans to establish a 25 million euro (4 billion yen) investment fund to support the digital asset ecosystem in France.

As a French government-affiliated financial institution, Bpifrance has focused on supporting innovation over the past decade. To date, it has invested 150 million euros in 200 blockchain-related startups and is known as a major supporter of the industry.
