Hearing on Atkins' nomination

On the 27th, the US Senate Banking Committee held a hearing on the nomination of Paul Atkins as SEC Chairman. Senator Elizabeth Warren (Democrat) asked questions about conflicts of interest. Atkins also outlined her policy as SEC Chairman.

Warren, known for being critical of crypto assets (virtual currencies), pointed out Atkins' connection with the bankrupt FTX and other companies in a questionnaire she submitted in advance, and expressed concerns about Atkins' role as SEC Chairman.
