Obtained authorization as a cryptocurrency business in the UK

BlackRock, the world's largest asset management company, confirmed on the 1st that it has been licensed as a cryptocurrency business by the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). The license will allow the investment giant, which has approximately $12 trillion in assets under management, to operate its new European Bitcoin (BTC) ETF (exchange-traded fund) product from its UK base.

According to the FCA's website, BlackRock was registered as the 51st licensed cryptocurrency business on April 1st. The company joins a list of licensed companies that includes Coinbase, PayPal, and Revolut...
