Considering new stablecoin for the US

Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino said that the company is considering issuing a new US-based stablecoin for institutional investors, in light of the actions of the US Congress. The Block reported on the 7th.

Ardoino said the following about the design of the new stablecoin:

It will be different from the stablecoins developed to support emerging markets and financial inclusion in Africa and other places. It will be tailored to meet the needs of large regulated institutions in the US, where infrastructure requirements are significantly different from those in those countries.
