Ripple and SEC Jointly File for Stay of Legal Proceedings to Achieve Settlement

On April 10, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Ripple filed a joint petition with the U.S. Court of Appeals to suspend the current appeals and counterclaims in the XRP lawsuit, a move aimed at resolving the case out of court.

According to the petition, the parties have already reached an "agreement-in-principle" and intend to move forward with a final resolution, subject to SEC approval. If the move is approved, it will bring to an end the long-running legal battle that began in 2020.
