US SEC postpones Ethereum ETF staking review decision until June

Postponed again

On the 15th, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) announced that it would extend the review period for the Grayscale Ethereum Trust ETF's application for Ethereum staking permission, as well as WisdomTree's Bitcoin ETF and VanEck's spot creation and redemption applications for the Bitcoin ETF and Ethereum ETF. The new decision deadlines have been set for June 1 and June 3, 2025.

The first decision to be postponed is for two Ethereum-related ETFs managed by Grayscale. On February 14, Arca, a derivatives exchange under the New York Stock Exchange, announced that it would consider staking Ethereum held by both trusts...
