Google launches new policy on cryptocurrency-related ads in EU, requiring them to comply with MiCA

Seeking compliance with European regulations

US IT giant Google will set new policies for cryptocurrency-related advertising in the European Union (EU) from April 23rd. This will apply the comprehensive European cryptocurrency regulation MiCA.

Going forward, advertisers will need to meet the following requirements to promote cryptocurrency exchanges and software wallets in the EU:

Accredited by authorities as a Crypto Asset Service Provider (CASP) under the MiCA regulation

Compliant with all local legal requirements other than MiCA

Certified by Google
