In an interview with Bitcoin Magazine this week, Zach Shapiro, policy director at the Bitcoin Policy Institute (BPI), discussed the impact of a hypothetical U.S. government purchase of 1 million Bitcoin (BTC) on the cryptocurrency market. "If the U.S. were to announce it was buying 1 million Bitcoin, it would be a global seismic shift, and Bitcoin prices could skyrocket and quickly reach $1 million per BTC," Shapiro said.
