Paul Atkins, who was nominated by President Trump and confirmed by the U.S. Senate on April 9, was officially sworn in as the 34th Chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on the 21st. At the swearing-in ceremony held at the White House, Atkins said that his top priority as the new SEC Chairman is to provide a strong regulatory foundation for digital assets.
